Saharawi students urged to join People’s Liberation Army (communiqué)

The Participants in the 2nd Congress of the Union of Saharawi Students (UESARIO) urged Tuesday the Saharawi students to join the ranks of the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army.
Los participantes en el segundo Congreso de la Unión de Estudiantes Saharauis (UESARIO) instaron este martes a los estudiantes saharauis a unirse a las filas del Ejército Popular de Liberación Saharaui.
At the end of the work of the Congress, the delegates called on the Saharawi students to join the Saharawi People’s Liberation Army and move towards technical roles in order to develop the action in units of military institutions and review the option of the recovery of armed struggle.
Al final de los trabajos del Congreso, los delegados pidieron a los estudiantes saharauis unirse al ejército de Liberación del Pueblo Saharaui y avanzar en la preparación técnica con el fin de participar en unidades de instituciones militares y revisar la opción de la recuperación de la lucha armada .
The communiqué urged the Saharawi students in the occupied territories of Western Sahara to “step up” militant action and remain attached to the Polisario Front while preserving national identity.
El comunicado instó a los estudiantes saharauis en los territorios ocupados del Sáhara Occidental a "intensificar" la militancia y permanecer unidos al Frente Polisario, preservando la identidad nacional.
It also highlighted the role of students to make known the Saharawi question worldwide and to mobilize more international support, by using various means including new information technologies and communication.
También destacó el papel de los estudiantes para dar a conocer la cuestión saharaui en todo el mundo y movilizar más apoyo internacional, mediante el uso de todos los medios incluídas las nuevas tecnologías de la información y la comunicación.
Participants also highlighted the need to boost the role of students in the fight against drugs in Saharawi society. (SPS)
